Did you ever read the book Imogene's Antlers? I remembered this awesome book today after seeing the umpteenth design/fashion/art blog posting pictures using antlers as part of the aesthetic. It's about, as you would imagine, a little girl who wakes up one day having sprout antlers. Everyone handles it differently, from her distressed mother, puzzled doctor, and brother who is insistent that she has turned into a form of miniature elk. But Imogene has a great day of fun, and finds random uses for her antlers with no problem.
No point to this post, except that I loved this book as a kid, and I'm surprised it hasn't been referenced more by all the hipsters and design-enthusiasts. Both categories of which I whole-heartedly admit that I fall under sometimes...when I'm not feeling lazy...which is rare these days.
